  • Naked leadership – new competition in difficult times.

The time has come to change the way organizations think about what it means to be effective. The current reality calls for a new perspective, different attitudes of leaders. A healthy organizational culture has become not only a condition for efficiency, but also a competitive advantage on the market.

In leadership bodies (researchers and scientists, businessmen, heads of organizations, modern politicians) there is a consensus recognizing participatory and transformational leadership as the only effective response to changing reality, world disturbances as a result of pandemics, global needs and social processes. Changing the perspective and way of leading and thus influencing employees, building their commitment and responsibility is a challenge for many leaders at all levels of the organization due to the current habits, established ways of thinking, as well as internal limitations. How to start changing the culture of leadership and the culture of the organization? How to support leaders. How to deal with the natural barriers we encounter?

  • Calm down everybody, nothing is under control.

We have become used to knowing, comprehending, having answers, being armed and equipped – or just ready, if nothing else. We have become used to remaining in control. We have organised a human-driven, human-controlled, and human-destructible universe. COVID-19 is the proverbial spanner in the works. Today’s world is the exact opposite of what it used to be – we don’t know what the truth is, we cannot imagine or even guess what it will be like in the future. Absolutely nothing is under control. To some of us, losing control is a terrifying perspective. Some try to survive, others – to minimise losses; some try winning; that is absolutely not to say – winning against others. Or winning by fixing what is. We cannot fix what is.

  • Would you follow you?

Who is a leader? And when we utter the word – “leader” – who is it that we have in mind? Can anyone be a leader? This seemingly simple term is often misunderstood. And what exactly makes a leader effective? Why do we respect and listen to some people with attention while not even noticing others aspiring to such role? It does happen that we are seduced by charismatic and strong leaders and they proceed to lead us astray...

  • Will who you are today be enough tomorrow?

What kind of vision are you following? What kind of organisation are you developing? How do you influence others? What is your strength? How effective is your leadership?

How often do you ask yourself – and respond to – such questions? People need leaders, authorities, examples. They will follow you. Where are you taking them? A well-prepared manager, director, efficient businessman, politician, person of success is capable of leading a group of people, a company, a community towards a destination of measurable goals or profits. If you are that individual, in all probability you have a support system comprising an appropriate position, education, competencies, skills, knowledge, and management systems. Will that be enough? How much time and attention do you spend on self-improvement? The level of your personal development will determine the overall level of your company.
